The staff were great & very helpful, my 3 year old became sick during our dinner (with a high temperature) and while they couldn't provide any calpol for her the man on reception made her happy by giving us a box of chocolates :0) I like the location. The room was very drab and could do with being updated. The food in the restaurant was lovely. Very good price for an over night stay. Very friendly staff. A little bed was made up for our daughter.
We didn't manage to use the pool as the times allowed for children to swim werent great. The room we stayed in was quite old fashioned.
Great value. Restaurants bar and food were brilliant. Lake and view really beautiful. Rooms could be betterespecially bathrooms but were clean and all we needed.
It looks a but like an industrial/offices estate as you drive up! Once inside it's lovely
Room as fantastic (242) as we paid for a standard room this was excellent value!!!, However the view from the room and the noise that we created early in the morning by people delivering/ emptying the bins let it down considerably! Didn't have time to use the facilities though breakfast was nice and staff we very friendly.
Noise from deliveries/ refuge collection right outside the room. The lift was also looking a little tired!
The comfort of bedrooms, and the 'new' state of matresses and furniture. Very clean allover.
the leisure facilities weren't in the hotel and weren't open when I wanted to use them .
The staff were excellent and dealt with any problems we had efficiently, the food was very good in the restaurant as was the service and breakfast was plentiful. Once the new spa is built it will be worth a trip back, we have to attend at the AAA's competition each yr in Bedford and will definitely stay again.
The rooms were very hot even with the windows opened and my children had a room next to the new spa and building and work started on the building at 7.45am on the Saturday morning which we had not been warned about or expecting, the girls were then moved to the executive building and we were then charged for this! The food in the restaurant was great but on the first night our main courses were cold (warm plates) and were sent back but with little fuss and when returned it was delicious. The hotel is rather ugly but don't let that put you off, we will be staying again.
Don't be put off by the external appearance of this hotel, within its huge complex of other buildings. Inside, it is great! The best thing about this hotel is its staff. Customer care is obviously of prime importance and it shows. The food is also very good indeed.
It was convenient for my circumstances.
I was in a downstairs room and the noise from the room above was very intrusive - it woke me up! I could hear everything, them walking across the room, going into the bathroom, etc - very loud. I had a very dubious experince in the restaurant - I had a fly in my meal and was not offered any compensation for the incident. When I came to check out there was £60 worth of other peoples' wine attached to my bill, which I had to wait for the staff to sort out, and which took 20 mins. I was due into and exam at 0900 - I really did not need the stress. I asked where my exam was and I was given the wrong room, further adding to my already heightened level of stress - overall - not a good experience.
Wyboston Lakes is very convenient when we visit an ancient Aunt in Bedford, being close by A1 and the Bedford - Cambridge Road, but far enough away from the roads to have no interruptions at night with traffic noise. . The whole complex is well appointed, clean and all staff friendly and helpful. Our room was comfotable, clean and we'll be back
We were surprised that the well run restaurant was unable to provide HOT CHOCOLATE as an alternative to Tea and Coffee for breakfast
The accommodation and welcome were excellent - I would use again certainly for conferences but not as a lone traveller.
As a lone female traveller, I was really disappointed that I had to drive to the next building for the restaurant. In the end, I opted for a bar snack which was possibly the worst pizza I've ever eaten!
The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent The staff were helpfull friendly and efficient. The room and outside blocks don't look the best from an asthetic Point of view but the hotel itself despite externally looking Like an industrial unit is lovely inside. The pool and health spa at Harvey's was great and had a Relaxing massage. Good value for money and I'd stay again. Only spoilt by an inconsiderate drunk guest kicking In his room door at 4 in the morning having argued with His partner. Language was a disgrace, but dealt with Promptly by security .
The exterior looks a bit industrial unit , entrance not visible Enough or signage. Not a great deal of parking.
Wyboston offers facilities and dining for a nice break at good value for money.
Wyboston Lakes is surrounded by busy roads so you can't really walk anywhere aside a pub across a duel carriageway.
Excellent gym. Very good full English breakfast. Very spacious. Good golfing set-up with driving range and golf course. Nice setting over-looking the lake with a patio area which I would imagine is nice to sit on in the evening to take a drink if the weather is fine.
The room we had didn't have air conditioning, the room was a little on the warm side.
